Choose the system by the pressure, geometry and required outcome.
UKBC focuses on durable physical exclusion and anti-perching systems, with stainless-steel specifications as the default for long-term external work.
Physical systems first.
Products are tools. The specification comes from pressure, geometry, visual requirements, substrate and maintenance.
Bird Netting
Physical exclusion for high-pressure areas and enclosed architectural spaces.
View system →Bird Spikes
Robust anti-perching protection for ledges, parapets, signs and linear surfaces.
View system →Post & Wire / Sprung Wire
Low-visibility tensioned wire systems for sensitive ledges and façades.
View system →Stainless Exclusion Mesh
Durable physical closure of openings, voids and access points.
View system →Solar Panel Bird Proofing
Perimeter exclusion designed around PV arrays without treating the panels as the fixing substrate.
View system →Low-profile Electric Track
Discreet behavioural deterrence for selected high-value architectural surfaces.
View system →316 marine-grade stainless steel by default.
UKBC specifies stainless-steel proofing systems as the default for long-term external installations. Galvanised alternatives can be considered where a client specification or budget requires them, but lifecycle, corrosion exposure and maintenance expectations should be assessed at survey stage.
A practical hierarchy
Exclude access
Close the route into the nesting or roosting area wherever the building allows it.
Remove landing opportunity
Use spikes or tensioned wire where complete exclusion is unnecessary or impractical.
Use active systems selectively
Electrical, acoustic or visual deterrence should be selected only where the operating environment suits it.
