ACCESS MATTERS
Scaffold, MEWP, rope access or coordinated project access: choose the method around the job.
Access strategy affects cost, programme, safety and detailing. UKBC considers it during survey rather than treating it as an afterthought.
ACCESS STRATEGY
Access is part of the specification because it changes the economics of the job.
The cheapest system on paper may become expensive if it needs a full scaffold for every repair. UKBC considers installation and future access when the system is designed.
Scaffold
Useful for broad façade packages, complex installs and integration with wider construction work.
MEWP
Efficient for selected elevations and repeatable linear work where ground conditions allow.
Rope access
Can suit difficult high-level locations where the design and rescue plan support it.
Existing access
Roof walkways, cradles, BMUs and project access can sometimes be integrated into delivery.
