TECHNICAL BIRD CONTROL

Bird control built from installation experience and specification knowledge.

UKBC combines practical installation understanding with survey, quantity and specification experience for commercial projects.

WHAT UKBC IS

Technical judgement backed by practical installation understanding.

UKBC applies practical site experience from tender and drawing review through to specification, delivery, project records and maintenance handover.

The work draws on direct installation and site-supervision experience, scaffolding, MEWP and rope-access environments, quantity take-offs, project coordination and the production of detailed quotations, system specifications and O&M manuals.

This helps UKBC review what can be confirmed from drawings and site records, identify information gaps, plan specialist installer access and specify a maintainable system without presenting an unverified product as a universal solution.

Information-led

Review existing drawings, site evidence and bird pressure before deciding whether a further survey is needed.

Construction-aware

Details, quantities, access, interfaces and sequencing are part of the job.

Durable materials

Long-life stainless systems are the default where technically suitable.

Maintainable

Installations should remain inspectable, repairable and compatible with building maintenance.

EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE APPROACH

Complex buildings call for practical decisions, not a standard product list.

The specialist experience informing UKBC includes work in large distribution environments, occupied high-rise and social housing, stadium structures, defence and aviation facilities, and emergency-service premises.

That experience was developed through earlier project roles and specialist contracting work. It informs our approach to drawing reviews, measured quantities, installation interfaces, access constraints, programme planning, technical specifications and O&M handover.

Every UKBC tender is assessed on its own information and requirements. Project references, client approvals and accreditations are supplied only where verified and appropriate.

TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITY

From drawings and quantities to an auditable handover.

UKBC brings established bird-proofing installation and project-documentation experience to the commercial specification process.

  • Review of project drawings, existing system designs and bills of quantities.
  • Measured take-offs, system recommendations and documented scope assumptions.
  • Coordination of relevant specialist subcontractors, including high-level access.
  • Quotation detail, installation records, as-built information and O&M manuals.
  • Clear inspection, maintenance and system guarantee information where agreed in the contract.

Any guarantee period, exclusions, maintenance obligations and responsible party are confirmed in the project quotation and handover documentation; no blanket guarantee duration is implied.

UKBC MATERIAL STANDARD

316 marine-grade stainless steel by default.

UKBC specifies stainless-steel proofing systems as the default for long-term external installations. Galvanised alternatives can be considered where a client specification or budget requires them, but lifecycle, corrosion exposure and maintenance expectations should be assessed at survey stage.
